Francois Conradie

Director and Founder

Francois brings over three decades of construction experience to Gen2Tek, having held senior roles across technical management, site delivery, and regulatory compliance. His career spans residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, giving him a rare perspective on how design decisions impact buildability and long-term performance.

Qualified with CIOB, CIArb, and APS accreditations, Francois also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Law and Arbitration and is pursuing further qualifications in dispute resolution (LLM).

Beyond technical expertise, Francois is known for his pragmatic approach and responsiveness. Clients appreciate his ability to distil complex regulations into clear, actionable advice and his commitment to being available when challenges arise.

Away from work, Francois is happiest on the sidelines of a rugby pitch or glued to a cricket test match, usually debating tactics with his son. He has also been dragged out of his comfort zone recently into open water PADI diving trips. Between his daughter’s endless questions, family adventures, and his quest for the perfect cappuccino, he somehow still manages to keep his email inbox under control (most days).

Christian Baxter

Senior Associate

Christian joined Gen2Tek in early 2025 to support the firm’s expanding portfolio of technical management and advisory services. With a strong background in construction delivery and regulatory compliance, he works closely with clients to ensure projects meet Building Regulations, CDM requirements, and Building Safety Act obligations.

Christian’s role includes supporting Principal Designer appointments, conducting technical reviews, and providing on-the-ground guidance during critical project phases. His collaborative approach and attention to detail make him a trusted partner for clients navigating complex developments.

Outside of work Christian can either be found with his family, or on the golf course. Christian has 2 young children, one girl and one boy. His son has recently taken up golf and we don’t think it will be long until he is showing his dad how it’s really done. Christian also has a passion for food, particularly BBQ. During lockdown he found his love for BBQ and now spends his Sunday’s smoking his food ready for the weekly roast.
