The redevelopment of 50–56 Fore Street, located at the southern end of Angel Edmonton Shopping Centre, delivers a new mixed-use residential development consisting of 110 homes with ground floor commercial space. The scheme includes a 16-storey residential tower and a three-storey terrace along Claremont Street and Clive Avenue, creating a defined courtyard and improved urban frontage. The design responds to local context while meeting London Housing Design Guide and Part M accessibility standards.
Gen2Tek was appointed as Principal Designer (Building Regulations) under the Building Safety Act 2022 to manage design compliance, coordinate technical disciplines, and ensure regulatory alignment through RIBA Stages 3 and 4. The project involves preparation for Gateway 2 submission to the Building Safety Regulator.
Our scope encompasses Building Regulations compliance management across Parts A–S, development and maintenance of the BSA Compliance Tracker and Change Control Plan, and competence assessment and declarations for the design team. We conduct Stage 3 and 4 compliance reviews covering fire, access, structure, energy, and acoustic performance while liaising with Building Control and coordinating Gateway 2 submission documentation. Ongoing compliance monitoring during design development and procurement ensures continuous regulatory alignment.
